Hi there,

I’m Miya

I'm a UX design strategist who helps ambitious teams drive clarity out of chaos. From zero-to-one launches to growth-stage pivots, I work at the intersection of UX, product thinking, and storytelling to turn insights into adoption and experiences into traction.

Early in my career, I worked in Tokyo at FactSet, leading digital transformation and product localization for enterprise fintech clients as a senior consultant — managing $6.9M+ in ARR across some of largest financial institutions. The friction I saw in global SaaS tools sparked my interest in product design.

With a degree in Cognitive Systems from UBC, I had already been trained to think across human behavior, technology, and systems. That led me to formally study UX, explore startup ideas through Entrepreneur First, and eventually build my own UX consultancy, Sweeter Design, where I helped startups across AI, FinTech and Wellness grow through strategic design. Most recently, I joined the founding Studio team at Framer in San Francisco, designing tailored demos to drive enterprise growth through product storytelling and strategic client engagement.

Across everything I do — whether I’m designing high-touch sales demos at Framer, organizing UX Designathon, or mentoring founders at DraperU — my focus stays the same: to design experiences that drive outcomes, earn trust and scale with intention. I bring a globally fluent, iterative approach to design, and I’m especially drawn to teams building thoughtful tools for creators, collaboration, and emerging tech.
